Managing Oneself
I am reading some articles by Peter Drucker. The insights he had about management, I should rather say about life in general is astounding. Peter Drucker requires no introduction, and has a demi god status in corporate world. His insights are timeless and enduring.
What he suggests in his article “Managing Oneself” is nothing new, but the clarity with which he sees the world around us amazes me. An aware person is the one who sees what the world as it is; without any notions, prejudice or ignorance. There can be no formula in this, it is the inner core of a person which makes us like that. The challenge is: it is not difficult to find people having these traits, rather it is much more difficult to take it to the next level.
In his article he asks us to be responsible for ourselves. We have to be CEO’s of our careers, the world has changed around us, previously it was the management who used to decide the career path of her employees, it is not true anymore.
